The wheel landed on Gong, a company valued in the billions, and we immediately found hidden headers in the code whispering stop losing winnable deals on page after page.
Product pages with no H1, other blog posts' titles masquerading as headers, and a privacy preference center that appears twice for no reason.
We put Gong next to Salesforce and it hurt: roughly 780K monthly US organic visits versus about 20K. Gong's entire traffic is the gap between two of Salesforce's data points.
Book a demo links that go to the homepage instead of a demo page. That's revenue leaking out of their own CTAs.
Ben gave a C, Yaron went C minus, because a company with these resources and these designers should know better.

Key findings
Hidden text in the code sitewide: an invisible stop losing winnable deals heading plus duplicated headers on product pages and blog posts.
Product pages missing H1s and clear keyword targets. The forecast page targets no identifiable keyword at all.
No author pages anywhere, despite a company full of quotable sales experts and an entire podcast of original thought leadership going unused in the blog.
The blog homepage leads with a 2022 post, older articles are missing images, and quote graphics carry useless alt text like stat about long-term training.
Organic footprint of roughly 20 to 30K monthly visits in a niche where Salesforce pulls around 780K non-brand US traffic.
Top action items
1Delete the hidden content and fix the heading structure. It's a sitewide template, so one fix repairs hundreds of pages at once.
2Rewrite product page titles and H1s around real keywords, like conversation intelligence software, which already almost ranks on the title alone.
3Point every book a demo CTA at the actual demo page instead of the homepage.
4Add author pages, refresh the outdated posts, and pull the podcast's original insights and quotes into the blog.
What we learned (steal these)
Great sales and ads can build a billion-dollar brand while the SEO fundamentals quietly rot. The fundamentals are the cheap part, and template-level fixes multiply across the site.
SEO is brand visibility, not just clicks. People search for brands they keep seeing, and strong topical SEO also feeds your visibility in AI search engines.
At DR 70 to 80, authority stops being the constraint. If you write it well and stay relevant, you can rank on almost anything, so strategy is the missing piece, not links.
