We handed out our harshest grade yet: Make.com, a giant brand with every resource imaginable, walks away with a D.
The entire site lives under an /en/ subfolder with no other languages and no hreflang, so thousands of backlinks hit a redirect before they reach a real page.
Make redrew the Monday, Slack, and Google Sheets logos into knockoff versions, and the integration pages instantly read like a scam site.
The featured blog article is from 2022 while its description promises a 2023 comparison, and the most popular post dates to 2021.
Eagle Eye Itay live-edited the mobile blog in dev tools and deleted half a screen of padding before the first paragraph even appeared.

Key findings
Everything sits under /en/ with no other language versions and no hreflang, and make.com redirects into it, so about 4,000 referring domains point at a redirect, with 2,000 more hitting a trailing slash redirect.
Integration pages hide at crawl depth four under an Apps and services label, the word Integrations never appears in the menu, and there are no breadcrumbs.
App logos are custom redrawn instead of the official brand marks, which makes the integration pages look cheap and untrustworthy.
Template pages offer no explanatory content beyond a get this template button, and the CTA routes to pricing instead of a trial.
A rendered JavaScript crawl showed the content loads fine for bots, but the site logo itself is broken for crawlers.
Top action items
1Update the featured and popular articles, their dates, and their descriptions so a 2022 post stops promising a 2023 comparison.
2Rebuild the menu around the word Integrations, the way people actually search, and add breadcrumbs to the integration pages.
3Swap the redrawn app logos for the official brand logos.
4Strip the mobile dead space, make blog titles and featured images clickable links, and add CTA banners and branded elements to posts.
What we learned (steal these)
Big brands rank in spite of their SEO, not because of it. Basics like clickable titles and current dates still matter at any size.
Design details are trust signals. Wrong logos make a legitimate product look like a knockoff, and visitors feel it before they can explain it.
Run a rendered crawl to see your JavaScript site the way Google does. Never assume the page you see is the page the bot gets.
